Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Hardwarehoard ("we", "us") helps you browse and compare used server hardware listings sourced from eBay. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.

No accounts

We do not offer user accounts and do not ask for your name, email, or other personal details to browse the site.

Browser storage

We use first-party browser storage (localStorage) to remember your saved favorites and your comparison selection on your device. This data stays in your browser, is not transmitted to us as identifiable information, and you can clear it at any time via your browser.

Anonymous analytics

To understand how the site is used and improve it, we record anonymous, first-party usage events — which searches and filters are run, which listings are viewed, and which outbound links are clicked. These events are tied together only by a short-lived, randomly generated session identifier stored in a first-party cookie; it contains no name, email, or other personal detail and is not used to track you across other sites. We store no IP address with these events, use no third-party analytics or advertising services, and honor your browser's Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal — when it is set, we do not set the session identifier and only record un-linked, aggregate events.

eBay Partner Network

Outbound links to eBay are affiliate links through the eBay Partner Network. When you follow one, eBay may set its own cookies and receive a referral identifier so any qualifying purchase can be attributed to us. eBay's handling of your data is governed by eBay's own privacy notice.

Service providers

We rely on infrastructure providers that process limited technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) to deliver and secure the site: our hosting platform, a content delivery network, and an error-monitoring service used to detect and fix faults. These providers act on our behalf and do not use the data to build advertising profiles.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts, we typically hold no personal data tied to you; if you have a request, contact us using the details below.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
